Pasta

Pasta is synonymous with Italian cuisine and is made from wheat, eggs and or water to create sheets of dough that can be boiled, fried or baked. Pasta has it all, it’s rustic, elegant, comforting. It can be combined with different foods that are simple or complex and create bold, rich, clean or subtle flavors.

Pasta is sold in two forms, fresh or dried and prepared by cooking and serving with a sauce, adding to a soup or stew or baked as part of a dish. Both dried and fresh pasta is created in a number of shapes and varieties, with 310 specific forms and is known by over 1300 documented names.

Easy to prepare, pasta creates a culinary canvas for whatever you want to pair with it, pesto, aged balsamic vinegar with garlic olive oil, tomato based sauce, grated cheeses or lobster in a white wine and saffron sauce etc. It can be served hot or cold, as a salad, a small plate, side dish, appetizer or as a main course.
