Choosing the right knife for your kitchen is a very intimate and personal journey. Knives are literally an extension of your hand. You communicate through your arm and hand what you want your knife to do, and how you want the knife to do it; to slice thinly, or dice into large chunks etc. So, the weight, flexibility, control, and dexterity of your kitchen knife is important. And that’s not only for cutting food the way in which you want, but, it’s also about your safety.
Personally, I know that it is possible to spend hundreds of dollars on kitchen knives, and then they end up not giving you the performance you need. I was thrilled to watch this ATK video, which embraces a brand of knives that are very, very affordable, and has the functionality that I’m looking for. The price has gone up a bit, but, hey, I’m good with that. These knives are my next investment. I’ll share my thoughts and experiences with you.
