Spicy Plum Sauce

A slightly sweet, spicy and tart sauce that transforms a vegetable stir fry, as well as seafood and meat dishes to a delicious flavorful experience with every bite. This versatile sauce is quick and easy to make and can be stored for 3-4 days in your refrigerator.

Equipment

  • Small mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp shaoxing rice wine or cooking sherry
  • 3 tbsp plum sauce
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp light soy sauce not to be confused with low sodium
  • 1/2 tsp dark or regular soy sauce
  • 1 tsp roasted white sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp sriracha

Instructions

  • Put all ingredients into a bowl and whisk until thoroughly combined. Set aside until ready to use.

Notes

Substitutes:
  • If you don't have light or dark soy sauce, use 1-1/2 tsp of regular soy sauce.
  • Rice wine can be replace with white vinegar.
