Sesame Glaze For Roasted Vegetables

Sesame glazed has a rich unique Asian flavor that enhances the taste of roasted vegetables.

Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • Whisk
  • Garlic press
  • Measuring spoons
  • Saran Wrap

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 2 tsp soy sauce or Braggs amino acids
  • ½ tsp finely minced garlic
  • ½ tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp roasted sesame seeds
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a medium size bowl and whisk vigously for approximately 1 minute or until everything thing is well incorporated.
  • 10 minutes before the end of the roasted vegetables cook time, remove from oven. Put vegetables into bowl with glaze and gently toss or turn with a cooking spoon.
  • Return to baking tray and oven and continue roasting for 10 minute turning once or until bubbly and slightly caramelize. Serve hot.

Notes

I use this on roasted butternut squash steaks, brussel sprouts, in fact on all roasted oven vegetables, including dark leafy greens.
