1/2tspof finely minced garlic

Instructions
Drain tofu, rinse under cold running water and pat dry. Cut tofu into squares 1.5" x 1.5 and .25" thick or 4mm x 4mm ..5mm thick and set aside.
Mix red miso, honey, soy sauce, rice wine, 1/2 of the sesame oil and 2 tbsp of water and set aside.
In a cold, large frying Pan add oil and tofu pieces. Turn the heat to medium high and fry tofu until golden and crispy, approximately 7 - 8 minutes. Flip over and cook the other side for 6 - 8 minutes. Remove the crispy tofu from the pan and set aside.
Add a splash of cooking oil to the same pan. Add the whites of the spring onions and garlic.. Sauté until fragrant. Add the premixed sauce and cook for 2 minutes to marry all the flavors together. The sauce will be thick enough to glaze the tofu. There is no gravy in this recipe.
Add the crispy tofu and toss well so each piece is coated with the miso honey glaze. Turn the heat off and add tops of green onions and the other 1/2 of the sesame oil. Toss a couple of times.
Drizzle with homemade chili oil, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
